Standing Committee at Gujrat Chamber of Commerce

GCDGCDA established affiliation and strong working relationships with both major groups of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran, Gujrat:

- Javed Butt Group

- Sheikh Afzal Group

Both groups extended an offer of the Vice Presidency to the leadership of GCDA.

Although GCDA has not formally accepted or exercised these positions, the offers represent an important milestone and reflect the growing recognition and standing of GCDA among the traders and business organizations of Gujrat.

GCDA held multiple meetings at the Deputy Commissioner's Office regarding issues faced by car dealers and showroom owners.

These efforts strengthened the identity and representation of GCDA at the district administrative level and before relevant boards and forums.

GCDA established district-level affiliation/membership with:

- All Pakistan Car Dealers & Importers Association

- All Pakistan Car Dealers & Small Trades

These affiliations connected the car dealer community of Gujrat with wider national-level trade organizations.

GCDA successfully worked for the approval of a dedicated Standing Committee for Car Dealers at the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

GCDA also provided representation of its members in the Standing Committee, creating a formal platform for raising issues related to the car dealer community.

Ministerial Introductions

GCDA was introduced at the Ministerial Level, giving the car dealer community of Gujrat a stronger and more organized voice before provincial authorities.

Through representation and discussions with the concerned authorities, GCDA played an important role in addressing matters related to Model Bazaar and One Five Model Bazaar, including cancellation of the relevant orders and restoration of the affected arrangement.

GCDA strengthened its institutional identity and representation before several important government departments, including:

- Excise & Taxation Office (ETO)

- District Police Office (DPO)

- Deputy Commissioner's Office

- Other relevant government departments

This strengthened communication between GCDA and government institutions regarding matters affecting car dealers.

GCDA successfully nominated and provided its members for the Standing Committee of the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, ensuring organized representation of the car dealer community within the Chamber.

GCDA introduced a Mediation Committee to help resolve disputes and issues through dialogue, consultation, and mutual understanding.

This initiative reflects GCDA's commitment to unity, discipline, and peaceful resolution of business-related matters.

Long Standing Drainage Issues

GCDA raised the long-standing drainage and sewerage problems affecting the car market and surrounding areas.

Through continuous coordination and consultation with the Deputy Commissioner and relevant departments, significant progress was made regarding the drainage route from Service Road / Double One Double Two towards Jatuberkal.

These issues had remained unresolved for approximately 20–25 years, making progress in this area an important achievement for the local business community.

This marks an important step towards greater transparency, accessibility, professional representation, and digital presence for the car dealer community of Gujrat

The formal registration process of Gujrat Car Dealers Association was initiated and has progressed substantially.

Some procedural matters remain under process, and the leadership is actively working with the concerned authorities to complete the remaining requirements.

During a visit to Gujrat, the Provincial Minister visited and appreciated the efforts and work of Gujrat Car Dealers Association.

This recognition reflected the growing institutional importance of GCDA within the business community.

Official Paritcipation in Flag Hoisting Ceremony

For the first time, Gujrat Car Dealers Association participated officially as a representative of the car dealer community in the 14th August Flag Hoisting Ceremony.

This marked an important step in the public and institutional recognition of GCDA.
